چکیده

The multipad circular guide hydrostatic bearing of heavy-duty CNC machine is taken as the research object. Based on the lubrication properties of the heavy hydrostatic bearing, viscosity-temperature equation of interstitial fluid is established in various viscosities. In accordance with factory actual production, the fluid critical from laminar to turbulent is calculated by finite volume method. The inner flow field of hydrostatic bearing is simulated, when the rotating speed of workbench is 6r/min at different flow. The simulation results reveal flow distribution low and verify the reliability of the calculation. The results show that, the transition critical inlet fluid flow from laminar to turbulent of fluid in hydrostatic bearing is 22L/min. Through the above analysis and research, reveals the flow rule of the hydrostatic bearing oil film bearing gap, provides a theoretical basis for actual hydrostatic bearing for engineering structural optimization design.

Laminar-turbulent transition process in pulsatile flow.

A controlled ex-vivo study of a simple, sinusoidally oscillating flow in a rigid, constant-area, smooth tube, has produced significant insight into the laminar-turbulent transition phenomenon. The development of turbulence was studied by analyzing the dynamic characteristics of the transition process; i.e., the velocity, growth rate, and intermittency which describe the generation and propagati...

Numerical Simulation of Separation Bubble on Elliptic Cylinders Using Three-equation k-? Turbulence Model

Occurrence of laminar separation bubbles on solid walls of an elliptic cylinder has been simulated using a recently developed transitional model for boundary layer flows. Computational method is based on the solution of the Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations and the eddy-viscosity concept. Transitional model tries to simulate streamwise fluctuations, induced by freestream turbulen...

Aerodynamic Noise Computation of the Flow Field around NACA 0012 Airfoil Using Large Eddy Simulation and Acoustic Analogy

The current study presents the results of the aerodynamic noise prediction of the flow field around a NACA 0012 airfoil at a chord-based Reynolds number of 100,000 and at 8.4 degree angle of attack. An incompressible Large Eddy Simulation (LES) turbulence model is applied to obtain the instantaneous turbulent flow field. The noise prediction is performed by the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings (FW-...

Turbulent Transition in Electromagnetically Levitated Liquid Metal Droplets

iv ACKNOWLEDGMENTS Thanks to my family. The condition of fluid flow has been proven to have a significant influence on a wide variety of material processes. In electromagnetic levitation (EML) experiments, the internal flow is driven primarily by electromagnetic forces. In 1-g, the positioning forces are very strong and the internal flows are turbulent. To reduce the flows driven by the levitat...

Thermohydrodynamic Characteristics of Journal Bearings Running under Turbulent Condition

A thermohydrodynamic (THD) analysis of turbulent flow in journal bearings is presented based on the computational fluid dynamic (CFD) techniques. The bearing has infinite length and operates under incompressible and steady conditions. In this analysis, the numerical solution of Navier-Stokes equations with the equations governing the kinetic energy of turbulence and the dissipation rate, couple...
